Laio is built and maintained by Media52 BV, the technology and innovation hub behind the journalistic platform io+.

Our roots are in journalism. For years, we have covered the bleeding edge of European innovation, deep tech, and strategic autonomy. Along the way, we realized that the modern investigative process—reading through dozens of PDFs, transcribing hour-long interviews, and synthesizing complex reports—was fundamentally broken in the digital age.

The Birth of Laio

Laio was born out of our own newsroom's necessity. We needed an assistant that didn't just summarize text, but actually understood the journalistic process: scraping hard-to-reach documents, attributing facts to real sources, writing in strict editorial styles, and never inventing data.

When we realized how powerful this tool was for our own editors, we decided to share it.
